Welcome to Our School Website.

I hope you enjoy learning about us through exploring the pages of our Site.

The most recent Ofsted Inspection stated: “the school remains outstanding because the leaders and managers work highly effectively to make sure teaching is outstanding and continues to improve to match the changing needs of students especially the rapidly growing numbers of those with autism” (June 2014).

The school is designed with a combination of teaching areas and specialist areas such as Food Technology, Science, P.E and Sports Hall, Art and Design, and ICT. The school has excellent links with health and therapy services. Therapists are also available, to support the needs of pupils and to offer support to parents. There are a range of outside communal arrears, including a woodland area, to engage young people in outdoor curriculum. The school also takes advantage of its close links with Litherland Sports Park, accessing the football pitches, running track and gym. At Rowan High School, we are completely committed to providing all students with an excellent education; one that broadens their minds and maximises their life chances for the future. We promise to empower students to succeed within their education and live a happy and purposeful life. Our values of determination, integrity, respect and ambition underpin our school day and routines.
From the moment you walk through our doors you will feel a sense of belonging. Our strong links with our feeder primary schools and enhanced transition programme endeavours to remain seamless. We have the same aspirations for every student and we want them all to be successful, positive and resilient and play active and purposeful roles, both within and beyond our school and local communities. If you share our ambitions, then we would love you to come and join us!
I hope you find our website useful and please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help in any way we can.
